Bohol-1

1) After a quick assessment of more than 7000 islands in Philippines, we finally chose to explore an island that was called God's Little Paradise. There is a direct flight  from Manila to Bohol capital-Tagbilaran via Cebu Pacific.

2) We stayed 2 nights at Panglao Island next to Bohol. This island is surrounded with diving spots and  sea sport activities. Immediately after checked in, we hired a driver to explore Bohol Island.  This was followed by hiring a boat on the next day to explore surrounding islands and the dolphins watch before doing some last minutes shopping at Tagbilaran.  There was an amazing cultural show on the night before we left. We did have a walk for 2-3 km along the long and white beach for some unexpected discovery   before we say bye-bye to this beautiful island.

3) Sandugo blood compact site. This is considered as the first treaty of friendship between the Spaniards explorer Miguel López and Filipinos on March 16, 1565 and beginnings of Spanish cheerful culture here.

4) Mahogany man-made forest, a dark area of thickly reforested land.

5) Loboc River Cruise is a must do to learn the Bohol lives at the riverbank.

6) Chocolate hills - May peace prevail on Earth.  "These unusual geological formation of 1,776 small hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometres (20 sq mi). They are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season, hence the name."

7) The smallest monkey/primates in the world-Tarsier. At a size of less than a palm size, they are shy, easily frightened but capable of jumping from one tree to another.

8) Curious to see this nocturnal creature eating during day time.

9) This photo was taken at day time at a distance of 30cm to this nocturnal creature.

10) Another 30cm shot. The bird looked calm.

11) Another 30cm shot. The bird looked a bit aggressive.

12) The Dusk of Panglao Island

13) Great cultural show at Bohol Beach Resort. A must watch.
